Finally, in a few weeks, the iPhone 16 series will be released. Though Apple hasn’t revealed the release date for the 2024 iPhones, rumors have it that the iPhone 16 event is coming up soon and that the new phones will debut on September 10. Given Apple’s history of releasing its new lineup of iPhones around September of each year, this makes sense.
In the second or third week of this month, the corporation primarily revealed its earlier models. If Apple is going to debut the devices any day between September 10 and September 15, then the official announcement for the iPhone 16 series should come during the first week of September.
iPhone 16 lineup Display Details
It has been reported that Apple intends to expand the display sizes of several models. The normal Pro model’s screen is expected to grow from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max’s screen is expected to increase from 6.7 inches to around 6.9 inches in the iPhone 16 Pro models. Although individuals may find it difficult to use the gadget with one hand, these larger displays should improve the overall viewing experience.
Apple has left off the high-refresh-rate ProMotion displays on its base iPhone models, so it seems unlikely that the base (non-Pro) iPhone 16 models will get them. In 2025, ProMotion may be added to entry-level iPhone models, according to Ross Young.
If Apple decided against switching the base iPhone 16 models to the 120Hz ProMotion display in favor of the antiquated 60Hz display, it wouldn’t be shocking. Ultimately, since the release of the iPhone 13 Pro in 2021, the firm has limited the use of its ProMotion display to iPhone Pro models alone.
