iPhone 16/16 Plus rumors: Everything you need to know

Even if the iPhone 16/16 Plus seems far off, Apple appears to be working on it already. This is due to the fact that leaked images of the 2024 phone reveal several significant improvements.

iPhone 16/16 Plus rumored specifications

  • Retain the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes
  • 60Hz refresh rate
  • Dedicated Action Button
  • New Capture Button
  • Powerful A17 or A18 chip
  • Vertical camera layout
  • Exclusive on-device AI capabilities

Regarding the entry-level iPhone 16, Apple may choose to continue using 60Hz screens for an extra year. Apple may provide iPhone 16 variants with a screen from Samsung that uses less electricity. Although the Dynamic Island is no longer there in the leaked image of an iPhone 16 Pro prototype, it is unlikely that this alteration will impact the next models.

The iPhone 16 series should be released in September 2024 if Apple sticks to its present plan. While delays are a possibility and have occasionally occurred in recent years, Apple has never strayed too far from its plans.

Since there are currently no pricing speculations for the iPhone 16, all we can predict is that Apple will continue to charge $800 for the base model, $1,000 to $1,100 for Pro models, and a few hundred more for greater storage variants. Nevertheless, as the cost of phone components is rising, the price of the iPhone 16 may increase.
