Apple revealed a significant improvement in the design and build of the latest iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models at the Wonderlust event, aimed mainly at simplifying and reducing repair costs. One interesting change is the simplicity with which the new iPhones’ rear glass can be removed, a feature that differentiates them from their predecessors.

All About the Easily Repairable iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

It should be taken into account that this design upgrade was first launched with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, and it has now been extended to the Pro models as well. This new construction design, which allows the back glass to be removed more easily, has substantial consequences for repair costs. Apple recently updated its website with the revised iPhone 15 repair charges, confirming earlier speculation. If you happen to damage the back glass of your iPhone 15, you’ll be looking at a repair cost of $169 or $199, depending on whether you own the Pro or the Pro Max variant.

While some may argue that these repair costs are still relatively high compared to those of other manufacturers, it’s essential to provide context by comparing them to the previous iPhone models. For instance, repairing the back glass of an iPhone 14 Pro used to set you back a hefty $499, and for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, it was an even more substantial $549.

In direct comparison to their predecessors, the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models offer a significantly more cost-effective repair experience. These eagerly awaited smartphones are scheduled to hit the shelves on October 22nd, and tech enthusiasts are eager to see just how repair-friendly these devices turn out to be. Repairing an Apple device is usually a challenging task, but with the recent upgrades to the company’s line of products, there is general expectation that the company has made major improvements in the repair field.
