The iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly utilise a new 48MP Sony sensor in addition to being the only Apple model this year to include a periscope zoom lens. Apple made a significant advancement in camera hardware in 2022 when it switched to a 48MP camera for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to Ice Universe’s prediction for this year, Apple will reportedly use the more advanced Sony IMX903 48MP unit even though the new flagship’s maximum camera resolution will remain the same. The main sensor will be smaller than the camera found in the recently released Xiaomi 13 Ultra, according to the tipper’s tweet, though it won’t quite be 1 inch in size.

## According to reports, the main camera sensor on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is slightly larger, measuring 1/1.14 inches, than the 1/1.28 inches of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to earlier renders of the iPhone 15 Pro, the rear camera bump of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be larger this year, so the iPhone 14 Pro Max cases will probably not fit in this year’s flagship. The majority of our readers are aware that having a larger sensor has advantages because, even in low light, a larger camera will let in more light, capturing more detail.

With the addition of the periscope lens feature, which reportedly supports up to a 6x zoom, the camera system becomes incredibly powerful in the iPhone 15. Reviewers have always praised Apple for using a potent pairing of hardware and software in its iPhones, and when the flagship model debuts later this year, we should expect to see the same pairing.
