iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro: Should you upgrade?

iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro: If you are still using an iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max and plan to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max when they are released later this year, then read below to find out what is different in the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro.

According to Apple expert Mark Gurman, there are indications that Apple might introduce a second iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra later this year. The new version of Apple’s primary smartwatch is anticipated to debut alongside the iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch Series 9 models during their Fall event. This updated edition will replace the initial Apple Watch Ultra, which was a “rugged” wristwatch released by the company last year.

iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro: powerful CPU and a Strong Body

Based on the Geekbench 6 benchmark, the A16 CPU in the iPhone 14 Pro, which is built on a 5nm architecture, has already demonstrated a 17% increase in speed compared to the A15 chip found in the iPhone 13 Pro. It is anticipated that the A17 processor in the iPhone 15 Pro will utilize TSMC’s latest 3nm process, offering even faster performance and improved battery efficiency compared to the previous generation. Apple is likely to transition from Lightning to USB-C with the iPhone 15 Pro. This modification will result in a more universal charging standard and higher wired data transmission speeds.

The iPhone 15 Pro, like the Apple Watch Ultra, is said to have a titanium frame rather than stainless steel. The display bezels and back glass are also expected to have slightly curved edges. The iPhone 15 Pro is said to have a customisable Action button, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra.

The button would take the place of the Ring/Silent switch, which has been standard on all iPhone models since 2007. Users would most likely be able to assign the button to a variety of system functions, including Ring/Silent, Do Not Disturb, Flashlight, Low Power Mode, and others.

iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro – Dynamic Island and a better battery

Apple replaced the notch on the iPhone 14 Pro with the Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped region surrounding the Face ID sensors and front camera. The Dynamic Island displays system warnings and works with iOS 16’s Live Activities feature to display live NBA scores, the status of an Uber ride, and other information.

Already, the iPhone 14 Pro can play offline video for up to 23 hours, compared to 22 hours for the iPhone 13 Pro. With components such as the A17 CPU and the LiDAR Scanner projected to be more power efficient this year, the iPhone 15 Pro’s battery life could be extended even further.

iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro – Higher Ram in the new phone

The highly anticipated release of the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to come with an enhanced RAM capacity of 8GB, an upgrade from its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro, which had 6GB. This boost in RAM enables superior multitasking abilities, enabling users to effortlessly run multiple applications concurrently in the background without the need for frequent refreshing.

Models of the Phone 15 Pro are said to offer Wi-Fi 6E, which uses the 6GHz band for faster wifi speeds, lower latency, and less signal interference than normal Wi-Fi 6. iPhone 14 versions can link to Globalstar satellites, allowing users to send text messages to emergency services when they are out of cell phone or Wi-Fi range. The service is currently offered in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, and a few other countries.
