iPhone 13 Pro Teardown Video Reveals a 3,095 mAh Battery

Apple usually does not reveal the RAM capacity or battery numbers of its new iPhones, but it never stays a secret for long. As such, a Chinese tech blogger WekiHome has released a teardown video for the iPhone 13 Pro, revealing all its major components.

Traditionally, during the presentation, Apple did not name the battery capacity, only promising that the iPhone 13 Pro will last 1.5 hours longer than its predecessor. As it turns out, the battery inside is 3095 mAh, which is L-shaped and manufactured by Sunwoda Electronic Co. By comparison, iPhone 12 Pro has a 2815 mAh battery.

Overall, in terms of “the stuffing” iPhone 13 Pro is not much different from last year’s model. Perhaps worth noting is the smaller Taptic Engine, the updated 5G modem Qualcomm X60, and also the 120Hz screen supplied by Samsung. By the way, also the South Korean giant supplies the RAM, and here is Japanese Kioxia responsible for flash memory.

The new iPhone uses a smaller Taptic Engine this time around and the main camera assembly is slightly bigger than before. The A15 Bionic chip is also clearly visible next to the battery and the front camera setup is thinner this time.

All in all, the innards of the iPhone 13 Pro are not too different when compared to the 12 Pro, although there have been plenty of adjustments. Apple’s iPhone 13 series handsets include storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, with the Pro versions getting a 1TB storage variant for the first time. The entry-level model costs $699, while the top-tier model costs $1,599. Sierra Blue, Silver, Gold, and Graphite are the four color options available for the Pro versions.
