iPhone 13 Pro series will be the first iPhones to sport up to 1TB storage

Apple claimed at the iPhone 13 launch that they have increased the battery for its entire lineup promising more screen-on-time than before. The Cupertino giant told with iPhone 13 mini one should achieve about an extra 1.5 hours of use on a single charge while the regular iPhone 13 would last up to 2.5 hours longer.

This is a significant upgrade in battery life and also both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will get the same increase in battery life compared to the equivalent iPhone 12 models. In a filing on the Chemtrec website, via 9to5Mac, Apple did publish the official battery capacities for all of its new iPhones.

Here the reported battery sized of the entire iPhone 13 lineup:

  • The iPhone 13 mini will have a 9.57 watt hour battery, a healthy increase when compared to the 8.57 watt hour battery in the iPhone 12 mini, an increase of about 11.6%.
  • The regular iPhone 13, Apple has packed in 12.41 watt hours batery, now, compared to the iPhone 12 that featured a 10.78 watt hour battery, you have an increase of 15%.
  • Coming to the “Pro” lineup, the iPhone 12 Pro had the same 10.78 watt hour battery as the 12, however, now the iPhone 13 Pro now has a 11.97 watt hour battery about 11% in capacity.
  • Finally the flagship iPhone 13 Pro Max sports a 16.75 watt hour battery and that’s an increase of about 18% from last year’s 12 Pro Max that featured a 14.13 watt hour battery inside.
Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max pre-order shipments delayed until October

As the marketing figure stands, Apple says the iPhone 13 Pro Max is rated for 28 hours of continuous video playback, even the smallest 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini should achieve 17 hours of video watching.

Obviously, this makes the iPhone 13 models slightly heavier than their last-gen but still having less battery size than a regular S22 Ultra (18.84Wh), which goes to show Apple bets on its more efficient chips paired with improved iOS15.

However, customers will like some added hours of battery life on their new iPhones as these days a full day of use is required in 2021. On the other hand, Apple has delayed the shipment of these new iPhone 13 series, read here: Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max pre-order shipments delayed until October
