iPhone 12 assembly has been commenced in India: Apple officials

The day before yesterday, a piece of big news has been there in the media saying that Apple is planning to start assembling their iPhone 12 series in India. But there was no official confirmation about the news so that was quite hazy at that very point.

But, yesterday, a piece of confirmation has come out from Apple saying that the company has already started the mass production of the iPhone 12 series in India, and the production plant will be Foxconn’s plant in Tamil Nadu. However, Foxconn has not yet provided information on the details. Currently, India has a huge population of over 1 billion people, and that’s why it will be a prime beneficial factor for Apple to spread out its manufacturing in India.

Apple has also made some thoughts public regarding the iPhone 12 production in India. Apple said that there were very much proud to make this kind of giant leap to manufacture iPhone 12 series on Indian soil as it can raise Apple’s business exponentially, credit to the huge population of India.

Moreover, exportation cost will not be there in manufactured in India iPhones, and that’s why we can expect some serious cost-cutting on those products. If future iPhones are cheaper in India, more and more people will shift from Android to iOS, and the ultimate business of Apple will grow further.

Considering those recent Chinese issues in front, Apple is looking to gradually shift some aspects of its productions from China to other countries, such as India. Foxconn and Wistron from Taiwan are the two major drivers of India’s iPhone production project, which started in 2017.

So, a large number of iPhone manufacturing plants are already there in India allover. Apple has started the manufacturing of only the iPhone 12 series. Still, in the future, it is expected that Apple will assemble its tablets in India which will be great for Apple and India for growth in the tech economy.
