## What Is Season 4 About?

Set directly after the events of Season 3, a changed Mark Grayson is battling to safeguard his home and loved ones — a path that leads him to a confrontation with a threat that might change the destiny of humanity forever. [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_or_Not_2:_Here_I_Come)

Season 4 also includes a completely original Damien Darkblood storyline that was never in the comics. Creator Robert Kirkman personally wrote Episode 4 and confirmed it is a story he never got to tell in the source material — with Clancy Brown returning to voice Darkblood. [The Hollywood Reporter](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ready-or-not-2-here-i-come-origin-story-1236533042/) That’s a significant incentive for even the most hardcore book readers.

## Full Returning & New Voice Cast

Returning cast includes Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, Sandra Oh as Debbie, J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Jason Mantzoukas, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Ben Schwartz — one of the most stacked animated ensembles on television.

Three major new voices join for Season 4: Lee Pace as Thragg — the ruthless Grand Regent of the Viltrum Empire — whose casting was revealed at New York Comic-Con in October 2025; Matthew Rhys as Dinosaurus; and Danai Gurira as the cosmic warrior Universa. ## Thragg — The Villain Fans Have Waited Years For

Thragg is the leader of the Viltrum Empire and its strongest warrior. Mark barely survived Conquest in Season 3 — and going up against Thragg will require a level-up unlike anything seen before. [IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33978029/) Lee Pace’s casting is a masterstroke — his commanding screen presence translates perfectly to animation.

Creator Robert Kirkman says the series may run seven to nine seasons total to fully adapt the 144-issue comic saga. [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_or_Not_2:_Here_I_Come) We’re in this for the long haul — and Season 4 is where the real war begins.
