Lautaro Martinez is finally undergoing negotiations with Inter Milan regarding a  new contract. The Argentinian is still on his first contract with the club that he signed in 2018, and that runs until 2023. 

For all that he does, Martinez is an underrated striker and is having a fantastic spell now. One year ago he was the man for Barcelona but those rumours have died down, especially given Barcelona’s dire financial crisis.

Inter are trying to find an agreement regarding a five year extension. The 23-year-old will be offered a €4.5 million per season salary after taxes, and bonuses for will amount to an extra income. 

The situation Situation related to the contract has been going on for a while now but they are still talking about a release clause. The striker has a €111 million release clause right now. Inter are  Debating with his agent as to keep or change the clause. 

He looks happy to be playing for the club. He has a family now too, and staying at the San Siro could be favourable for his stability, which really goes unnoticed in the form of a certain player.

Martinez has scored 15 goals for Inter in 33 appearances and has assisted 7. He was the star of the most recent Milan derby, scoring a brace against the Rossoneri to seal the win for his side of the city.
