Inter Milan and Atalanta have reached an agreement for the transfer of Robin Gosens. The deal is expected to be a 12-month loan with an obligation to buy the player for €25 million plus add-ons.
Personal terms have also been agreed between Gosens and Inter Milan, and the medical for the transfer will be completed within this week. The German international has been out of action since November due to a hamstring injury, and it could be a while before we see him back in action despite making an ambitious transfer to Inter.
Inter Milan reach agreement for Robin Gosens
The player will join Inter Milan in January itself, and will sign his contract immediately. He was a target for Newcastle United in the current window as well. However, there was no agreement with the Magpies for a transfer.
Robin Gosens has been a part of Atalanta’s squad for the last five years, since making the move in 2017 for a meagre €1 million, from Dutch club Heracles. He was one of the key players for Germany this past summer in the Euros, and has earned 13 caps for the national team in total.
The 27-year-old will be signing a contract until 2026 when his move is made permanent next year. The add-ons are related to the appearances he makes in Serie A, the wins that he is a part of, and the Champions League matches that he participates in for the Nerazzurri.
