Inter Kashi have turned things around significantly in the I-League, and they have jumped from eighth to third in the table. The team has gone undefeated from 1st February to 23rd March. And now, they are nine points away from the league leaders, Mohammedan Sporting, who are comfortably ahead.
Sreenidi Deccan are in second place with the same number of points from three less games played. And as a result, they have the opportunity to battle for the top spot too, albeit they have only two games in hand in comparison to Mohammedan.

Their last four matches have ended in victory, including the 5-4 thriller against Aizawl FC, and the 6-3 win against TRAU. Yesterday, they picked up a 2-1 win against Shillong Lajong, who were down to ten men at the end of the game.
While their surge in form might come too late to try and qualify for the ISL this season, it sets up a strong foundation for them to dominate the I-League next year.
Albeit new, Inter Kashi have got the basics right when it comes to running a football club in India. They have recruited smartly and have laid down a good foundation to build on in subsequent years.
