Intel’s Upcoming 14th Gen Non-K CPUs Spotted in Chinese Markets Prior to Official Launch

Intel’s upcoming CPUs, part of the Raptor Lake Refresh lineup, have once again made an early appearance ahead of their official launch, echoing a trend observed in previous generations. Despite Intel’s efforts to maintain a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for next-gen CPUs, leaks continue to emerge, and the Raptor Lake Refresh is the latest victim of this trend. The exact method by which these SKUs find their way into retail channels before launch remains unclear, but it often involves someone in the supply chain, undermining the anticipation for new releases.

All About Intel 14th Gen Non-K CPUs

A recent report from German media outlet ComputerBase reveals that three unreleased models from the Raptor Lake Refresh lineup have surfaced on the Chinese retail platform Goofish. This is not the first instance, as the Core i3-14100 was also previously listed on the same marketplace, suggesting that Goofish may be a reliable source for discovering “mystery” CPUs.

The three new SKUs uncovered are the Intel Core i5-14500T, Core i5-14400F, and the Core i5-14400, providing a substantial preview of what the Core i5 variants will entail once officially released. The images shared on the Chinese platform indicate that these CPUs are qualification samples, closely resembling retail variants.

All these SKUs are expected to maintain the same core configurations as the 13th Gen chips but will offer a 200 MHz higher boost clock at similar price points. The pricing listed for these chips on Goofish ranges from 1450-1700 RMB, approximately $200-$240 US.

While there is no official word on the release date for the remaining Raptor Lake Refresh SKUs from Intel, historical trends suggest that the company might unveil the rest of the 14th-generation Core Desktop CPUs around CES 2024. However, the persistent pace of CPU leaks raises concerns that the excitement surrounding these upcoming SKUs may diminish before their official introduction.
