The blue team has silently brought a new 10th Gen Core i3 processor into the market without integrated graphics to cut down the costs. This puts the brand new Core i3-10100F as the closest competitor to AMD’s Ryzen 3 3100 that costs below $100 and the Ryzen 3 3300X that costs $120.
If you recall, Intel previously launched it entry-level Core i3-9100F that is still one of the best at its price but lacks hyperthreading. However, its successor Core i3-10100F does come with hyperthreading support, which makes it even better deal.
The new ‘F’ variant joins the part of Core i3-10100, i3-10100T, i3-10100E, and i3-10100TE CPUs. Buying the new 4 core and 8 threaded Core i3-10100F is a much better to deal at $79-97 (will ultimately depend on number of orders).
Coming at under $100, the new quad-core CPU comes with up to 4.3 GHz, which is essential for gaming performance, competes against Ryzen 3 330X. Although the Ryzen processor features 10MB more L3 cache (16MB) than the 10100F and also 200 MHz higher base frequency.
If you go by the supply point of view, Intel has a better edge over AMD and if it can maintain that below $100 mark, the Intel Core i3-10100F will be a better option. However, new-gen Intel motherboards are costly over AMD’s cheap ones, so has that benefit as well.
