Upcoming Intel Panther Lake-H CPUs for laptops have emerged, with up to 12 Xe cores based on the unreleased Celestial ‘Xe-LPG’ architecture. The facts originate from shipping manifestos discovered first by @miktdt that report important Intel Panther Lake-H CPU information and some possible specifications.

More About the Intel Panther Lake-H CPU

It looks like these are very early samples, with Panther Lake underway in production as early as Q2, it is possible that Intel has obtained the first few samples for early evaluation. The Intel Panther Lake CPU listed is designated under the “H” SKU, implying that it is within the high-end sector and goes up to 12 Xe cores. It has also changed from “GG2-CT” to “GG3-CT,” suggesting that it might pertain to Intel’s 3rd Generation Arc graphics architecture, which has been codenamed “Celestial.”

Notably, the Panther Lake-H CPU’s 12 Xe cores represent a 50% increase from the 8 Xe cores in the Meteor Lake forecasts, which would be consistent for the next-gen Arrow Lake CPUs. Intel’s Lunar Lake CPUs will include the next-gen “Xe2-LPG” GPU cores. While based on the Arc Battlemage platform, the upcoming Celestial “Xe3-LPG” graphics architecture offers a more significant improvement over Alchemist and Battlemage. The iGPU will likely perform faster due to 50% more cores and an increase in memory types to improve bandwidth. As the LPDDR6 and the quicker LPDDR5X types arrive in 2025, this will be amplified.

After all, Intel last month declared its Panther Lake CPUs preparation, and their shipment can be projected to reach mid-2025. These chips are predicted to be powered by the Cougar Cove P-Core architecture and the Skymont E-Core design and to hold an advanced NPU, which is estimated to have AI TOPs twofold that of Lunar Lake.

Intel intends to utilize its Intel 3 process node regarding the SOC tile, and the iGPU tile is expected to be generated utilizing an external node – most generally rumored to be fabricated by TSMC, presumably N3 or N3+. Furthermore, the next-generation Panther Lake CPU IDs for Intel CPUs lately surfaced through a CoreBoot leak, revealing a whale of a time for new consumers with GT3 and GT3-tier graphics chips.
