The [Samsung](https://technosports.co.in/?s=Samsung)Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, the premium offering from the laptop manufacturer, has been identified as featuring the Intel Meteor Lake CPU, specifically the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. This flagship Meteor Lake CPU is anticipated to offer substantial performance, boasting up to 16 cores (6 P, 8 E, 2 LP-E cores), 24 threads, and clock speeds reaching up to 5.1 GHz, accompanied by a 24 MB cache (L3).

It is noteworthy that Intel initially intended to prioritise the Core Ultra 7 & Core Ultra 5 SKUs for laptops before introducing the higher-end Core Ultra 9 CPUs through its partners.

## **The All New Intel Core Ultra 9 185H**

The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake” CPU, identified as a QS (Qualification Sample) in the C0 stepping, appears to be closely aligned with the retail model, with potential optimizations in the final silicon. The CPU demonstrated a maximum clock speed of 5.1 GHz during testing.

Unfortunately, specific details on memory speeds, power limits, and thermal targets are absent, crucial factors influencing performance in various laptops. The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra employs a conventional dual-fan design featuring a copper aluminum baseplate covering the CPU and dGPU.

In terms of benchmark performance, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake” CPU recorded 767 points in the single-core test and 8096 points in the multi-core test. These figures fall below those of the Raptor Lake Core i9-13900H, equipped with 14 cores and up to 5.4 GHz clock speeds. Nevertheless, the Intel Meteor Lake CPU demonstrated a 14% improvement in single-core and a 5% improvement in multi-core performance compared to AMD’s Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU.

Previous leaks indicated disappointing battery timings for [Intel](https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/homepage.html)Meteor Lake CPUs. However, it is crucial to consider that performance metrics, including battery life, are contingent upon the complete specifications and thermal/power limits of the laptops in which the Intel Meteor Lake CPUs were evaluated. With the imminent launch just a few days away, comprehensive insights into the performance of Intel’s next-gen client CPU family in the laptop segment will be unveiled on December 14th. Stay tuned for further updates as more information becomes available.
