The leaks for the upcoming Intel flagship processor continue as the premium Intel Alder Lake CPU has been there for quite some time now. One thing is evident that though having a big.LITTLE architecture, the Golden Cove cores are really underestimated.

Even though it has eight big cores and eight small cores, in the Cinbench leak, we saw the Core i9-12900K comfortably beating the AMD flagship Ryzen 9 5950X by a good margin.

However, the part where it completely demolishes AMD is in the single-core performance; the latest CPU-Z benchmark leaks show the Core i9-12900K will be the best one in the market, scoring a whopping 825 points.

If you go to the CPU-Z benchmark list, you will see the best single-core CPU now is the Core i9-11900K which scores 682 points.

This means the upcoming Intel Core i9-12900K give 20% higher performance over Rocket Lake-S based Core i9-11900K. When compared with the 16 core flagship AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, the Core i9-12900K (16C/24T) scores 27% higher than AMD.

Though you might say the CPU-Z benchmark is a simple benchmark, so you cannot judge anything from it. However, it goes to show how well these upcoming 12th Gen Core processors will be. Finally, Intel will be coming back as a strong contender to AMD in 2021 and both enthusiasts, as well as fans, are excited about it.
