Intel is launching the 12th Gen Alder Lake processors next month and its flagship Core i9-12900K is everywhere around the news already. The recent CPU-Z leak is already trending as the upcoming 16-core flagship from Intel has broken all records.

Reaching 800 points in the old yet standard CPU-Z benchmark goes to show how Intel is serious about its IPC improvement. Also, as we know, the better the single-core performance, the better is the gaming performance, so, naturally, after the disastrous 11th Gen Rocket Lake launch, Intel looks to bounce back with the upcoming 12th Gen Alder Lake.

Now, a new leak from @9550pro goes to show the Intel Core i9-12900K is 11% faster than the current AMD flagship Ryzen 9 5950X in spite of having eight fewer threads. Also, this shows how improved these 8 efficiency cores are that are keeping up with AMD’s 16 high-performance cores.

The single-core performance again looks dominant as Intel is touching 800 points and here, it is around 24% faster than the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. So, indeed for Intel, Alder Lake is game-changing because it brings back the crown to once a market leader, however, we are yet to know if Intel is as efficient as AMD’s chips are.
