Intel ARC Alchemist Gaming GPU with With 32 Xe Cores appears online

The SiSoftware Sandra database has discovered a brand new entry for Intel’s flagship ARC Alchemist Gaming graphics card.

In the future months, Intel ARC Alchemist graphics cards for desktop PCs will be available. Despite being so near to debut, Intel hasn’t released much information about product specs, names, or performance, despite having multiple opportunities to do so, the most recent of which being CES 2022. Instead, Intel chose to announce the availability of 50+ desktop and notebook solutions from its partners.

With that being said, the SiSoftware Sandra database has revealed a brand new entry for Intel’s flagship ARC Alchemist graphics card, which is built on the Xe-HPG architecture. The 32 Xe SKU (DG2-512), which has 4096 ALUs and a clock speed of up to 2.10 GHz, has a new entry.

There’s also 4 MB of L2 cache, and the GPU is most likely equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM connected by a 256-bit wide bus. Because it lacks official branding, it’s simple to determine that this is still an engineering sample, but the ARC A380 has already appeared in SANDRA with its naming system.

The Intel ARC Alchemist top graphics card achieved up to 9017 Mpix/s in terms of performance, which is slightly higher than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti’s 8369.51 Mpix/s. In the same benchmark, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 scores 10,607.29 Mpix/s, whereas the Radeon RX 6700 XT earns 7910.91 Mpix/s. The Intel ARC A380 was able to achieve a speed of 2956.10 Mpix/s. So we know that the flagship is more than three times as powerful as the entry-level DG2-128 graphics card, which makes sense given that it has four times as many cores.

At least three ARC Alchemist GPU variants will be ready for introduction in Q1 2022, according to Intel. Two variants based on the top 512 EU die and one configuration based on the 128 EU die will be available. Although we have seen more GPU configurations in leaks, it appears that some of them may be used in future products, though this cannot be guaranteed. So let’s get started with the top-end setup.
