Intel accidentally leaks its own upcoming ARC Alchemist GPUs

The upcoming Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards have been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors. However, the most recent one is said to have come from Intel itself.

According to YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead, system files found in a test driver reveal the apparent names of the upcoming Intel graphics cards. There are at least five SKUs for both desktop and mobile, according to the SYS files in the driver.

Intel just released a pair of DCH graphics drivers for Windows. The first was version 30.0.101.1191, which addressed concerns with Windows DWM stability. According to a tip from VideoCardz, the second driver was for Intel’s NUC PCs, and it supposedly reveals the SKU names for Intel’s future ARC graphics products.

The driver version is 30.0.101.9999, and a source told VideoCardz that it reveals the identities of the first-gen Alchemist graphics SKUs, which are rumored to be known as the “a-series,” as we knew from an earlier leak.

The leaked a-series Alchemist SKUs are named the following and it seems two of them are desktop parts while the other two are mobile discrete graphics cards.

  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A380 Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350 Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A370M Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350M Graphics Family.

This isn’t the only information that has leaked from this driver. According to leakster Moore’s Law Is Dead (MLID), the successor to Intel’s DG2 will be called “Elasti,” and the name has at least been confirmed by Intel.

The driver contains certain Elasti optimizations, which were first spotted by KOMACHI ENSAKA (tweet since deleted). While we can’t say for sure, the “DG” could indicate that Elasti is a Discrete GPU.
