Infinix Zero Flip Launches in India: Clamshell Foldable Phone with Impressive Features for ₹49,999

Infinix Zero Flip was launched in India on Thursday and is the brand’s first clamshell-style foldable smartphone. It features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED inner screen and a cover screen measuring 3.64 inches also using an AMOLED panel.

Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset that offers up to 16GB of RAM. The Zero Flip has a dual-camera system packing 50-megapixel sensors and will ship with Android 14, with two regular then three additional years of security updates.

The Infinix Zero Flip is priced at ₹49,999 for the one and only variant that comes with 8GB RAM + 512GB of storage. It will be offered in Blossom Glow and Rock Black color options, with sales beginning on October 24 through Flipkart. Customers can avail a ₹5,000 discount on SBI credit and debit card purchases on Flipkart, bringing the effective launch price down to ₹44,999.

This dual SIM (Nano+Nano) device runs Android 14 with Infinix’s XOS 14.5 skin. It features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED inner screen protected by a UTG layer, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The external 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display is also faster in refresh rate at 120Hz and with a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Under the hood, it is driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and houses up to 512GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. The outside camera system features a 50-megapixel primary shooter along with OIS and another 50-megapixel ultrawide having a 114-degree field of view, capable of 4K video recording at 30fps. For selfies, we have a 50-megapixel internal camera that can also shoot video in 4K at up to 60 fps.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device has dual JBL-tuned speakers and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button for biometric security. It houses a 4,720mAh battery with support for 70W fast charging. When folded, it measures 170.75×73.4×16.04mm and weighs 195g, while its dimensions when unfolded are 87.8×73.4×7.64mm.
