IndiGo Airlines, India’s largest domestic carrier, unveiled IndiGo Stretch, its latest Business Class product, on the carrier’s 18th anniversary in August 2024. The airline has just taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo equipped with these seats. IndiGo New Business Class Launched: All You Need to Know
FlightRadar24 further reported that IndiGo’s A321neo (registered as VT-ICF) departed Hamburg (XFW) at 6:06 PM local time on delivery to Delhi (DEL) covering 6,027 kilometers (3,745 miles) in approximately eight hours. The plane is due to arrive soon after 6:25 AM local time. In Delhi, Spotters should reach early to get the best view.
The A321neo also carries bangs “IndiGo Means Business” on its fuselage and features 12 IndiGo Stretch Business Class seats in a 2-2 configuration as part of the 202 total seats (the other 190 are Economy seats). With a 21.3-inch width and 38-inch pitch, these CFM-equipped seats are six-way adjustable with headrests and neck support, a 5-inch recline, device holders, 60-watt USB-Type C ports, and universal power outlets.
Passengers will be served specially designed, healthy meals by Oberoi Catering Services. Other benefits will include priority check-in, anytime boarding, no convenience fees, a free vegetarian meal box, a choice of mocktails, juices, and soft drinks, and advance seat selection free of charge for IndiGo Stretch passengers.
Launching November 14, 2024, on the Delhi-Mumbai route, IndiGo Stretch is available for bookings with an introductory fare of ₹18,018. IndiGo plans to expand this premium service to 12 key routes by late 2025, catering to both seasoned business travelers and newcomers to premium air travel. In addition, IndiGo plans to broaden its international network, aiming to reach 40 global destinations by the end of FY2024-25. CEO Pieter Elbers highlighted the airline’s intention to add seven new international routes, furthering its global reach as the world’s third-largest carrier by valuation.
