India’s 26-man shortlist for the October international break has been revealed. Manolo Marquez has opted to make several changes to shake things up, and will choose a final list of 23 players for the tournament.

The contingent will be facing Vietnam and Lebanon in the Tri-Nation Series as part of the break. They will face the hosts on October 9 with almost no preparation, as they will arrive in Vietnam on October 7. After a two-day gap, they will face Lebanon with one dedicated recovery session.

The Blues will be heading in as the lowest ranked team among the three at 124. Here is the full list of probables released by the head coach ahead of the selection:

Keepers: Gurpreet, Amrinder, Vishal.

Defenders: Nikhil, Rahul, Sana, Anwar, Sangwan, Subhasish, Asish Rai, Mehtab, Roshan.

Midfielders: Suresh, Hnamte, Jeakson, Nandhakumar , Brandon, Thapa, Liston, Lalengmawia, Chhangte.

It remains to be seen which players make the final cut and how they cope with the lack of sufficient training time in Vietnam. Manolo Marquez is set for his second international break, and hopefully, he could benefit from the ISL operating in full force and players picking up some sharpness over the past month.
