Battlegrounds Mobile is arguable the biggest game in India in terms of active users, second to it is Gareena Free Fire. This may change very soon as Pune-based game studio SuperGaming has announced its upcoming game in the same genre dubbed Indus Battle Royale.

As per the official site of the developer, the indigenously developed game aims to showcase the Indian culture with a futuristic twist for gamers globally. The studio is currently involved in developing deep lore for Indus Battle Royale along with immersive surroundings that are inspired by actual locations in India.

The game will be a battle royale and will have a variety of weapons to choose from, in addition to this, it will have a gameplay system that is as good as any modern-day battle royale game.

The game will be available to smartphones, PCs, and consoles as well. The game is set to release sometime this year for all three platforms. The studio has stated that their decision to develop a battle royale game was due to the success of their previous games such as MaskGun and Silly Royale which focus on social and multiplayer interactions.

It is yet to be seen how Indus Battle Royale will fare against Battlegrounds Mobile India, PUBG Mobile, and Free Fire. The first looks of the game do look very promising.
