Indian football gaming just got a major boost. The **Indian Super League** has officially confirmed a new **four-year licensing agreement** with EA Sports, ensuring India’s top-flight league continues its presence in the [EA Sports FC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EA_Sports_FC) franchise, first launched into the series back in FIFA 22.

## A Bigger, Better Deal: Indian Super League Renews Four-Year Licensing Deal With EA Sports FC 27

Negotiated directly by ISL clubs following their transition to full commercial and operational control of the league, the new agreement reportedly surpasses the previous one in every aspect — with its annual financial value increasing by more than 26%. It’s a landmark moment for the league’s post-FSDL era, adding a fresh revenue stream as clubs build out their own commercial structure.

## Who’s In, Who’s Missing

| Club Status | Details |
| --- | --- |
| Fully licensed clubs | 13 of 14 ISL sides |
| New entrants | Diamond Harbour FC, Inter Kashi (fully licensed for the first time) |
| Missing licensing | East Bengal (reigning champions) |

Reigning champions East Bengal are the notable exception, unable to complete the licensing process before EA’s deadline due to changes in the club’s ownership structure following Emami’s exit. Their players will still appear in-game, but under a generic club identity — similar to how Inter Kashi was represented in FC 26.

## Why It Matters

This deal secures continued global visibility for Indian football, allowing fans worldwide to play as officially licensed ISL clubs, kits, and players. It follows closely on the heels of the league’s separate four-year data partnership with Sportradar, signalling a broader commercial push as ISL clubs steer the league independently.

## Release Details

EA Sports FC 27 launches on **September 25, 2026**, across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
