Amazon launched a “Global Selling” program in our country back in 2015. Sellers who are part of it can export their products through Amazon and currently, there are over 60,000 Indian sellers exporting products to 15 Amazon websites worldwide. All in total, they exported products of more than $2 billion, roughly 15,000 crores INR.

The figure is a fraction of the company’s annual export which was of around $530 billion, nearly 40 lakh crores INR, in the financial year 2019-2020.

The main foreign market for our Indian sellers is the US and apparel, jewelry, home items are in lead. To boost the sale there, Amazon annually organizes various shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Similarly, through Prime Day, Amazon brings foreign businesses in our country.
