With the 23/24 Indian football season in the books, let’s take a look at the Indian footballers with the most goal contributions. For this article, we’re considering both the ISL and the I-League. And after going through the stats, we’ve come up with the top five players with the most goals and assists.

Vikram Partap Singh has been an important player for Mumbai City FC, and earned the emerging player of the year award at the end of the season after the Sky Blues won the ISL Cup against Mohun Bagan SG.

Edmund Lalrindika – 12 

Edmund Lalrindika was one of the standout players in the I-League this season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists for Inter Kashi. The player was on loan from Bengaluru FC, and it now remains to be seen whether he can get into the first team fold or if he’ll seal a move away. 

Noufal – 13

Noufal PN recently joined Mumbai City FC from Gokulam Kerala, after an impressive campaign in the I-League. The winger scored five goals and provided eight assists in a standout campaign, and has now made the move to one of the best teams in the country.

Chhangte’s contributions helped Mumbai City FC finish second in the league, and then go on to win the ISL Cup. The winger has been in top form once again this season, with his best performance coming against FC Goa in the ISL semi final first leg where he scored a brace at the death to overturn a 2-0 deficit. 

Lalrinzuala Lalbiaknia – 18

Lalbiaknia broke the record for the most goals scored by an Indian footballer in the I-League this season. And as a result, he leads the list of Indian footballers with the most goal contributions in 23/24.

The Aizawl FC forward scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 20 games. And now, he is the subject of intense transfer speculation from ISL clubs and is also in contention for an Indian national team call-up.
