Indian football team will play friendlies against Oman and UAE in March

After a long wait, Team India is ready to back in action again in March. It is a great news for the football freaks of India.

The Blue Tigers will face Oman and UAE next month. All India Football Federation confirmed two International Friendlies for the Indian Men’s National Team in March 2021. Team India will take on Oman in the first match on March 25, while the second match is scheduled against the United Arab Emirates on March 29. Both the matches will be held in Dubai.

The last time India played an international match was in November 2019 in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers against Afghanistan (in Tajikistan) and Oman (in Muscat). After that, it was more than one year since India hasn’t played any international games.

The Blue tigers currently stand on 3 points from the 5 matches in the World Cup Qualifier group. They are yet to play two home matches against Asian Champions Qatar and Afghanistan, and an away game against Bangladesh to keep their dreams alive to be qualified in the World Cup 2022.

To prepare for the two friendlies, the National Team Tigers will assemble in a preparatory camp from March 15 onwards. The camp will be held in Dubai under Head Coach Igor Stimac.
