## ***India vs West Indies 1st ODI*** :***Tame Performance with the Bat***

The West Indies put up a disappointing performance with the bat, being bundled out for just 114 runs in 23 overs. The highlight of the innings was Kuldeep Yadav’s incredible figures of 4/6 in just three overs, along with [Ravindra Jadeja](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravindra_Jadeja)‘s three wickets that contributed to the Windies’ collapse.

## ***Ishan Kishan’s Heroics***

Ishan Kishan stepped up to open the innings for India and scored a brilliant half-century. His aggressive approach and attacking shots helped India get off to a solid start. Kishan’s fifty came off 46 balls, making the most of the opportunity he got as an opener.

## ***Rohit Sharma’s Heroic Rescue***

As India faced a bit of a collapse after Kishan’s dismissal, Rohit Sharma finally walked in at No.7 when India was 97/5 in 17.2 overs. The Indian skipper showed his experience and skill as he calmly guided India to victory with an unbeaten 12 off 19 balls.

## ***Jadeja’s All-Round Brilliance***

Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial role in India’s triumph, contributing with both bat and ball. He first took three crucial wickets during the West Indies’ innings and then scored a valuable 16 off 19 balls in the middle-order during the chase.

## ***West Indies Bowling Efforts***

Though the West Indies bowlers tried their best to defend the low total, it was not enough to stop India from securing a victory. Yannic Cariah and Romario Shepherd picked up a wicket each, but the Indian batters managed to steer their team to a win.

## ***Pondering for the Hosts***

The West Indies team will have much to ponder after their lackluster performance in both batting and bowling. They need to strategize better and put up a more competitive total in the upcoming matches to challenge India.
