India beat New Zealand by 168 runs in the third T20I by a huge margin of 168 runs. With the victory, they clinched the series by 2-1. Shubman Gill gave a significant contribution as he mustered 126 runs in 64 deliveries. It was the youngster’s first ever T20I century. The visitors had an abysmal show as all the players were bundled out for 66 runs in 12.1 overs. Hardik Pandya scalped four wickets while Arshdeep Singh, Umran malik, and Shivam Mavi had two-wicket hauls.

In the third T20I, India defeated New Zealand and clinched the series by 2-1. The hosts lost the first match against New Zealand and won the last two. Hardik Pandya and Co. opted to bat first and posted a total of 234/4 in 20 overs. Ishan Kisan couldn’t do much as he was dismissed by Michael Bracewell. Shubman Gill was in the limelight once again as he remained unbeaten at 126 off 63 balls. Rahul Tripathy smashed 44 runs in 22 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav scored 24 runs off 13.

Pandya also had good innings as he smashed 30 off 17 balls. From the opposition, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, Blair Tickner, and Daryl Mitchell bagged one wicket each. Indian skipper Hardik Pandya bagged four wickets whereas other bowlers like Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi got two wickets each and the visitors were all out by 66. It’s interesting to see that India’s victory margin of 168 runs was the highest in T20 World Cup. Hardik Pandya’s winning experience in the IPL final, helped him make wise decisions. This win has helped India keep their unbeaten series win record intact since March 2019.

India is ready to face Australia next, in the Test series that will start on February 9.
