In the earlier third ODI, which is now taking place at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya each claimed four wickets, as India dismissed England for 259 runs.

For England, Reece Topley was in excellent form and claimed three wickets. Initially, India bowled out the hosts for 259 in 45.5 overs thanks to a four-wicket haul from Pandya.

Before Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali took control and India lost to England, Mohammed Siraj had hit twice in one over to give India a short lead.

To put England on the back foot, Siraj removed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in the same over. By removing Moeen Ali on 34, Ravindra Jadeja shattered the crucial partnership between Buttler and Ali.

Before England passed the 250-run threshold thanks to cameos from Craig Overton and David Willey, Hardik removed England skipper Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone in the 37th over.
