India’s squad for the first test against Bangladesh has been named by the BCCI. The test will be played in Chennai and the hosts will field a strong squad against their neighbours.
Skipper Rohit Sharma will lead the team, and the squad sees the return of Rishabh Pant while Yash Dayal has been called up to the national team for what could be his debut.

Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Yash Dayal.
Dhruv Jurel has also been named in the squad, while Sarfaraz Khan has also retained his place in the test lineup. This will be the first test in the ICC Test Championship, and the action will then move to Kanpur.
