Key Players:

India:

  1. Rohit Sharma: The Indian captain has been in excellent form lately, with scores of 161 and 53 in the first Test. He will be looking to continue his impressive run with the bat.
  2. Ravindra Jadeja: The return of Jadeja has provided India with a major boost as he pressured the Australian batters in both innings during the first Test. He will once again be a key player in the second Test.
  3. Virat Kohli: Kohli is yet to score a century in Test cricket for more than three years now. He has had his starts but has failed to convert them into big scores. He will be looking to end this long drought in his home ground.

Australia:

  1. Pat Cummins: The Australian captain will be looking to lead from the front and guide his team to a comeback after the heavy loss in the first Test.
  2. Marnus Labuschagne: Labuschagne was the only batsman who showed some resistance against the Indian bowlers in the first Test, scoring 57 in the second innings.
  3. Mitchell Starc: Starc had a forgettable outing in the first Test, managing just one wicket in the two innings. He will be looking to bounce back and trouble the Indian batters in the second Test.

Weather Forecast:

As per the weather reports, the temperature at the venue is expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius during the day with clear skies. The good news for cricket fans is that there is only a five percent chance of rain during the day, so the second Test between India vs Australia is expected to have no interruptions due to rain.

India vs Australia are set to face each other in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar series starting from February 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After a dominating performance in the first Test, Rohit Sharma’s Team India will look to repeat their heroics in the second game of the four-match series against Australia. On the other hand, the Pat Cummins-led side will surely look to bounce back and level the series.

In the first Test, India showcased a brilliant performance with Rohit Sharma leading the way with a sensational ton. However, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul struggled to make an impact, and all eyes will be on them to perform in the second Test. Rahul is under the radar for his spot in the eleven, with Shubman Gill in such good form putting even more pressure on the Indian Test opener.

The return of veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has provided India with a major boost as he pressured the Australian batters in both innings during the first Test. Cheteshwar Pujara is also set to make his 100th Test appearance for India in the second Test and will be keen to mark the occasion with a century.

“On days when I haven’t done well, they start trolling, calling me names. They say things without knowing the kind of hard work I have done to reach this stage,” #RavindraJadeja said. #INDvAUS #BGT2023 https://t.co/x4ARInxfIM

Australia, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after their defeat in the first Test. They have a talented batting line-up, and their captain Pat Cummins has backed opener David Warner, who has been struggling with form, to come good in the second Test. The Australian bowling attack, which includes the likes of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc, will also be looking to make an impact in the second Test.

With the weather expected to be clear and no interruptions due to rain, cricket fans can expect an exciting match between India and Australia. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top in the second Test and takes the lead in the Border-Gavaskar series.

Predicted Playing XI:

India: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj.

Australia: Marcus Harris, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
