A deflected shot from Fanai in the 24th minute went in, with the player claiming the goal from long range. India went into the break with a two-goal advantage, but did not relent despite having a considerable lead.

After half-time, there were three changes with Gurnaj Singh, Phoenix Oinam, and Chandan Yadav, coming on for Guite, Malemngamba Thokchom, and Manjit Singh Dhami, respectively. Shortly before the hour mark, Aman got on the end of a cross to make it three for India.

Aman had the chance to make it six for his country, but his shot hit the post. And with more clinical finishing, India could have had many more goals. But, they were unlucky to have hit the woodwork on several occasions.
