His innings comprised of 10 boundaries, he made 112runs of 119 balls. Ajinkya Rahane scored 79 runs with 5 boundaries & 2 over boundaries.

Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets from his 10 overs. He was the most economic bowler with an economy of 3.4. Chahal took 2 wickets. Bumrah & Bhuvneshwar took 1 each.

India broke the 17 match winning streak of South Africa in their home soil.

South African skipper Faf du Plessis also played an inning of 120 runs. It was of no use as his bowlers were inefficient to break the 3rd wicket partnership, which took the match away from them.
