India’s Deepak Hooda delivered his finest performance with the bat in their first T20I victory over Ireland by seven wickets. Hooda, who mostly bats in the middle of the order, began the innings and scored 47 runs in 29 pitches. His persistent work allowed team India to score 109 runs in only 9.2 overs. Hardik Pandya, the captain, hit 24 runs off of 12 balls, which is commendable. Ishan Kishan added 26 runs from 11 balls as well. Surya Kumar Yadav couldn’t score a single run.

Harry Tector earlier helped Ireland record a difficult 108/4 in 12 overs with an unbeaten 64 in 33 deliveries. He had a strike rate of 193.94, hitting six 4s and three 6s. The first wicket was taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over, and the second by skipper Hardik Pandya. After that, Avesh Khan took a wicket, and at one point, Ireland’s score was 23/3. The hosts were given a boost by Tector and Lorcan Tucker’s spectacular 50-run partnership.
