India won its first T20 match against Ireland. Harry Tector from IE smashed 64 runs in just 33 balls hitting six boundaries and three sixes that helped the team cross the 100 mark. Due to rain the match got delayed and the overs got reduced to 12. From India Ishan Kishan Mustered 26 runs in just 11 balls and Hardik Pandya scored 24 in 12 deliveries.

India’s Deepak Hooda delivered his finest performance with the bat in their first T20I victory over Ireland by seven wickets. Hooda, who mostly bats in the middle of the order, began the innings and scored 47 runs in 29 pitches. His persistent work allowed team India to score 109 runs in only 9.2 overs. Hardik Pandya, the captain, hit 24 runs off of 12 balls, which is commendable. Ishan Kishan added 26 runs from 11 balls as well. Surya Kumar Yadav couldn’t score a single run.

Harry Tector earlier helped Ireland record a difficult 108/4 in 12 overs with an unbeaten 64 in 33 deliveries. He had a strike rate of 193.94, hitting six 4s and three 6s. The first wicket was taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over, and the second by skipper Hardik Pandya. After that, Avesh Khan took a wicket, and at one point, Ireland’s score was 23/3. The hosts were given a boost by Tector and Lorcan Tucker’s spectacular 50-run partnership.

Great to start the series with a win, fortunate we got a game. It is important for our team to start with a win. Umran was kept back after I had a chat with him, he’s more comfortable with the older ball and they batted fantastically,” captain Pandya said after post match.
