Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna finally reunite on screen after nearly 29 years — and Twitter (X) has *opinions*. Their courtroom drama **Ikka**, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, dropped on Netflix, marking Sunny Deol’s OTT debut. But is it worth your weekend? Here’s what netizens are really saying.

## What’s Ikka Buzz About?

Reactions are split right down the middle. Some praised Akshaye Khanna’s understated brilliance, while others felt the writing couldn’t match the star power on screen.

| Reaction Type | What Fans Said |
| --- | --- |
| 👏 Loved It | Akshaye Khanna “breathed life” into his role; Sunny Deol called restrained yet effective |
| ⭐ Rated It | One user gave it 3.5/5, praising the courtroom confrontations and finale |
| 👎 Disappointed | Called the writing “weak” and storytelling “mundane,” saying the stars deserved a stronger script |
| 🎬 Mixed Verdict | Solid moments overall, but uneven pacing stops it from being memorable |

## The Reunion Everyone’s Talking About

For fans of 90s Bollywood, this one’s nostalgic — Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna last shared screen space in the 1997 war drama *[Border](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_(1997_film))*, still remembered as a cult classic decades later. That 29-year gap is exactly why Ikka has generated so much curiosity.

## Should You Watch It?

If you enjoy courtroom dramas driven by performances rather than plot twists, Ikka might still work for you — several reviewers flagged the courtroom exchanges as a genuine high point. If you’re looking for a tightly written thriller, though, expectations might need adjusting.
