The ICC is pulling the plug on Sri Lanka’s 2027 Women’s Champions Trophy hosting rights. Persistent government interference in cricket administration has triggered this massive move. With political friction destabilizing the board, the ICC is prioritizing tournament integrity over local logistics. The inaugural event now faces a major venue hunt, leaving the future of this landmark global competition in total chaos.
