Not every big star opening turns into a big number. **Dulquer Salmaan’s I Am Game** has managed just **Rs. 13.70 crore gross** in its opening 4-day weekend at the Kerala box office — a soft start that’s raising questions about its road ahead.

## I Am Game: Weekend Numbers

The film opened decently on Day 1 but couldn’t sustain the momentum, sliding through the weekend with only a mild Sunday bump. Mixed word-of-mouth appears to be the biggest culprit, compounded by tough competition from the still-dominant [Bethlehem Kudumba Unit](https://technosports.co.in), which continues to hog Kerala screens and audience attention.

| Day | Collection |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Rs. 4.50 crore |
| 2 | Rs. 3.40 crore |
| 3 | Rs. 2.80 crore |
| 4 | Rs. 3.00 crore |
| **Total** | **Rs. 13.70 crore** |

Globally, I Am Game has reportedly crossed **Rs. 30 crore gross**, though final actuals may vary from trade estimates.

## Why the Slow Start?

A few factors seem to be working against the film:

- **Mixed reviews** have failed to generate strong word-of-mouth push
- **Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’s dominance** is eating into screen share and footfalls
- **Weekday performance** will now decide whether the film has any real box office legs

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, the film follows Dan John, a man who chases easy money through algorithm-based betting — until the system turns against him and his life spirals out of control. The film’s plot borrows loosely from the broader idea of [algorithmic trading](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algorithmic_trading), a real-world concept increasingly explored in modern cinema.

## I Am Game: Cast

Besides Dulquer Salmaan, the film features Antony Varghese Pepe, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Mysskin, Samyuktha, Vinay Forrt, Jayasudha, and Shyamaprasad in key roles.

## What’s Next

With a shaky opening weekend behind it, I Am Game’s fate now hinges entirely on weekday collections. A strong hold could still salvage the run, but without a turnaround in buzz, the film risks fading quickly against stronger holdovers in the market.
