The All New Hyundai Venue S Plus
Hyundai has always been a top seller in the sub-4m SUV segment and its Venue is consistently among the Top 10 sales. The Venue sold just under 9,000 units in July 2024 which secured an enormous market share of 8.65% for its class. Hyundai has launched a new version of the Venue called as the S Plus that gets an electric sunroof.
The Venue S Plus, meanwhile is the only variant to get a sunroof and has been priced at ₹ 9,35,800 (ex-showroom), making it now the most affordable trim in its lineup. This trim is also available with a 1.2L 4-cylinder Kappa NA petrol engine that comes mated to an all-new smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission. If there is enough demand, future versions could offer a variety of powertrain options.
It also sits in between the Venue S and Venue S (O) variants. It was reported earlier this month that the S (O) Plus launched in early June for ₹10 lakh ex-showroom was the most affordable sunroof version available. However, now the Venue S Plus also makes the sunroof optionally available at ₹9.36 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing a lower price point for Hyundai buyers! This should help its case, especially considering the rising popularity of sunroofs in India.
The Venue S Plus offers a comprehensive feature set, including an electric sunroof, a digital cluster with a TFT multi-info display (MID), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more. Basic features such as rear AC vents, roof rails, six airbags, TPMS, automatic headlights, electronic stability control (ESC), and hill-start assist are also included. The powertrain delivers 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque.
