Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has released official images of the updated Grand i10 Nios, which will go on sale this week at the 2023 Auto Expo. The third-generation Grand i10 Nios was introduced in August 2019 by the country’s second-largest car manufacturer to compete directly with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago, and Renault Kwid.
The Grand i10 Nios has been a consistent volume gatherer for the brand over the years, and the most recent model has received no significant updates in the last three and a half years. The compact hatchback is expected to gain volume with the arrival of the facelift.
Official bookings for the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios have begun with an Rs. 11,000 deposit.
The updated model includes cosmetic changes as well as the addition of new features. While the styling is instantly recognizable as a Grand i10, the minor visual changes will aid in the longevity of the current generation. The front end features a larger radiator grille and redesigned LED Daytime Running Lights for a more modern appearance.
Other exterior highlights include a new set of 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that improve the five-road seater’s presence, as well as a new front bumper section. The new LED tail lamps are inspired by the facelifted Venue and are connected in the middle by a thin strip. The South Korean company made no dimensional changes.
There are six colour schemes available, including a new Spark Green. While the basic layout of the interior remains unchanged, there is a new instrument cluster with a MID in the centre. Cruise control, TPMS, ESC, HSA, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, Type C USB charging port, four airbags (six optional), and other features are also included.
In terms of performance, the 1.2-liter petrol engine continues to produce 83 PS and 113.8 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The CNG variant produces 69 PS and 95.2 Nm and is only available with a five-speed manual transmission.
