Hyderabad FC have been handed a two-window ban by FIFA for unpaid dues to player Odei Onaindia. The club has been suffering immensely this season, finishing rock bottom of the table, with several players leaving after a just-cause termination over unpaid wages.
Now, they have been forbidden from signing any players in India or from abroad, putting their future at risk. The club has not paid their staff for a prolonged period, with former strength and conditioning coach, Jose Barroso and Benito Montalvo, the assistant coach, filing complaints in November.

The Nizams lost Chinglensana Singh, Nikhil Poojary, Hitesh Sharma, Gurmeet Singh, Mohammad Yasir, and Nim Dorjee in the middle of the season. And now, there are talks of Sajad Hussain leaving as well, piling even more pressure on the club.
There have been rumours of investment coming through over the past year, but nothing concrete has happened. Once relegations start in the ISL, Hyderabad FC could be set for the drop right away, if not liquidation over their current financial situation.
