What happens when a gruff narcotics detective and a charming veterinarian — who both happen to be married to the same woman at different points in time — are forced to work together to save her? Netflix’s *Husbands in Action* is about to answer that question, and the newly released character stills confirm this is going to be an absolute riot.

## **Meet the Characters Causing All the Chaos**

**Chung Sik (Jin Sun Kyu)** — An ace narcotics detective and the *ex*-husband. Already squabbling with the current husband over family seating at their daughter’s English speech contest before a kidnapping throws them together permanently. Classic.

**Min Seok (Gong Myoung)** — A young, handsome veterinarian and the *current* husband. The stills showing him behind the wheel with a faintly unhinged expression are already the stuff of comedy legend. One look says everything about the chaos ahead.

**Do Joon (Kim Ji Suk)** — The leader of the new drug organisation “Black Sugar,” who ends up taken hostage and dragged into the whole rescue operation — not by choice. His visibly terrified expression next to the unhinged-looking Min Seok is a pairing that writes itself.

**Hye Ran (Lee Da Hee)** — Do Joon’s wife and the cool, sharp-suited mastermind behind the kidnapping scheme, orchestrating events from behind the scenes with ice-cold charisma.

**Yong Kang (Yoon Kyung Ho)** — Fresh out of prison after a 10-year stretch, this former boss-level figure joins the rescue operation with his own score to settle against Do Joon, who took over his territory while he was away.

**Si Nae (Kang Han Na)** — The kidnapped wife at the centre of it all, who despite being held captive is shown calmly comforting her daughter — someone who simply refuses to be rattled by a crisis.

**Ara (Jun So Min)** — A social affairs reporter who keeps circling Chung Sik chasing a scoop, bringing an extra layer of unpredictability to the already explosive situation.

## **Why This Film Could Be Netflix’s Korean Comedy Hit of the Summer**

The premise alone — ex-husband and current husband who clearly can’t stand each other forced into an unwilling partnership — is comedy gold. But what really elevates *Husbands in Action* is the stacked ensemble surrounding that central dynamic. Every character in these stills has a distinct, fully drawn personality, and the potential for collisions between all of them is enormous. With Jin Sun Kyu and Gong Myoung previously sharing the screen in *Extreme Job* (one of Korea’s all-time box office champions), their chemistry is already proven — and now they’re on the opposite side of the equation.
