The 28-year-old had offers from several ISL clubs, but was keen on reuniting with Lobera, under whom he won the ISL title at FC Goa, followed by the domestic double in 2021 with Mumbai City FC.
Hugo Boumous quickly established himself as a key player for the Mariners after joining them in 2021. He has played 70 games for the Kolkata club, scoring 14 goals and providing 19 assists across all competitions, winning the Durand Cup, ISL League and Cup with them.
Now, he will be joining the Juggernauts as they attempt to rebuild their squad to challenge for the top six with a higher quality squad. Odisha have already renewed the contracts of Roy Krishna and Carlos Delgado, and have now added one of the best creative midfielders in the league to their squad.
