The Huawei Watch D is expected to be unveiled on December 23, but only in China. The Mate V, as well as other smartwatches and TV-related hardware, is expected to launch at the same time. While the Watch D’s packaging has already been leaked, someone has now posted photos of the upcoming smartwatch in use.

The leaked packaging images confirmed that the Watch D would run HarmonyOS 2, just like the Watch 3, Watch GT 3, and Watch FIT mini, as we previously reported. Hands-on photos appear to match the marketing render on the device’s box, though the device’s display bezels appear to be slightly thinner than the render suggests.

The device depicted below, by the way, matches images that have been circulating for months. These new images, however, show that the Watch D has a dedicated home button as well as a ‘health’ button. This button, it’s assumed, will launch Watch D’s built-in health app.

The wearable will also be able to measure ECG. Huawei is also said to work with Chinese health institutes to manage hypertension and early intervention using blood pressure data from the Watch D.

Other photos show that the Watch D can perform an ECG, measure blood pressure, and keep track of your heart rate. The Watch D will be more accurate at measuring blood pressure levels than competing smartwatches, such as the Galaxy Watch4 series, according to a recent patent publication.

The Watch D will have a rectangular design with two right-hand buttons, one of which will be dedicated to the health menu. It comes pre-installed with Harmony OS. It remains to be seen whether it will be exported from China.
