After a big clash with the US and other nations, Huawei has kind of shrunk its smartphone business and looking to diversify in its home market. It has recently launched desktops in its native country and is increasing its laptop portfolio.

Its MateBook laptops are great ones to go for and they have been updating along with making new models every now & then. Now, a new leak shows that instead of opting for an AMD or Intel-powered notebook, Huawei is making an ARM-powered laptop.

This is not unusual because most laptop manufacturers are doing so, combining ARM SoC with 5G modem. So, Huawei intends to launch an ARM-based Qingyun L410 laptop as we see on the shipping label for the device appearing in an image posted on Weibo.

It is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chip that was launched back in 2019 and is coupled with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD. The laptop is said to feature an FHD display, and the box weight is recorded as 2.252 kg.

As of now, it will run on Deepin 20 OS, which is a Linux distribution and henceforth should support Huawei’s new HarmonyOS. Housing the Kirin 990 5G chip suggests a strong possibility that the Qingyun L410 laptop will support 5G as it has become the new standard in various countries including China.
