Huawei announces multiple products recently along with the Huawei MateView monitor having a 3:2 aspect ratio. You probably know it’s the signature of Microsoft’s Surface series and the new MateView is probably the only one to date out of Microsoft’s branding.
The MateView monitor has a 28.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,560 pixels and 500 nits of pick brightness. The company claims this display is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. These are not all, the MateView display covers a 98% DCI-P3 color gamut and for professionals, there is a Delta E deviation of under 2.
Coming to the other parts, this new monitor is equipped with dual 5W speakers, a bunch of useful ports, and an NFC chip to share files from Huawei smartphones. Everything is well and good, other than the standard 60Hz refresh rate.
This Huawei MateView monitor costs 4,699 Yuan which is around $731 and currently available in China only. For now, there is no announcement regarding the global launch.
