Huawei MatePad Air PaperMatte Edition Launched – Everything You Need to Know
Huawei hosted a significant launch event recently, unveiling several new products for the international audience. Among the highlights were the global debuts of the MatePad Pro 13.2 and FreeClip open-ear wireless earbuds. Alongside these, Huawei introduced the MatePad Air PaperMatte edition and the MateBook D 16 2024 Windows laptop.
All About the Huawei MatePad Air PaperMatte and MateBook D 16
The MatePad Air PaperMatte edition is an upgraded version of the MatePad Air, featuring a matte anti-glare screen and enhanced M-Pencil 2 support. This HarmonyOS tablet boasts an 11.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1840 x 2800 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Equipped with the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, it offers up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and an 8,300 mAh battery with 40W wired charging. The tablet is priced at €649 and includes a bundled keyboard case.
On the other hand, the MateBook D 16 2024, previously announced in China, features a 16-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and up to 300 nits peak brightness. It incorporates a full-sized keyboard with a dedicated numpad, a five-point touchpad, dual speakers, and dual microphones.
The baseline model of the MateBook D16 is equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and Intel UHD graphics. Higher-end models feature i7 and i9 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. All configurations include 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and a 1TB M.2 SSD of the 2280 variety.
Launching in the UK and Europe, the MateBook D16 will be available in various configurations, starting from €999 for the Intel Core i5 13th Gen model with 16GB RAM and 521GB storage, and going up to €1,399 for the Core i9 version with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Pre-orders are set to begin on January 8, with open sales commencing on January 22.
