Huawei introduced the Mate X6, a book-style foldable smartphone, in China back in November. It features a massive 7.93-inch OLED inner display with a 2,440×2,240 resolution and a 6.45-inch quad-curved OLED cover screen with a 1,080×2,440 resolution.

Notably, the Mate X6 Collector’s Edition utilizes second-generation basalt-tempered Kunlun glass for durability. It may be powered by the Kirin 9100 chipset manufactured in-house by Huawei, with memory options of up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, and will operate on HarmonyOS 4.3.

Huawei has just officially announced that a global launch for the smartphone will take place in Dubai on December 12, and the Mate X6 will be revealed in markets other than China. Huawei has not announced what specific products would be launched, but the hashtag which translates to #UnfoldtheClassic is an indication of the Mate X6 foldable smartphone making its debut at the event. The device is eagerly awaited for global availability.

Camera-wise, the Mate X6 offers a triple rear camera system that includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto macro camera. Additionally, there are two 8-megapixel selfie cameras located on the device. There’s a 5,110mAh battery inside the phone, a 5,200mAh one in the Collector’s Edition. Both of the variants come with 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless fast charging support.

The Huawei Mate X6 also holds an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance, making it a durable option for users seeking a high-end, foldable smartphone. The base model starts from CNY 12,999 (₹1,50,000), while the Collector’s Edition starts from CNY 14,999 (₹1,75,000). More details about its global availability are likely to emerge from its global launch event in Dubai on December 12.
