Huawei Mate 70 series to debut in China next week Huawei has announced the launch on its official Weibo account and started taking pre-orders for the smartphones well in advance.

Although the company has not disclosed specifics on which models will be in the series, pre-order listings suggest multiple models including the Huawei Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, and Mate 70 Pro+. Each of the devices is anticipated to include as much as 16GB of RAM and 1TB of inner storage. Now, a tipster has shared some details regarding these models as well as a limited Mate 70 RS Ultimate Edition.

Huawei has released a teaser poster on Weibo that displays the rear and camera design of a Mate 70 series phone likely the Mate 70 Pro. There is a circular-shaped camera module with three sensors and an LED flash on the back, one of which looks like a periscope lens. You can pre-reserve the Mate 70 series right now through Huawei’s Vmall platform.

The Huawei Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro are listed in Hyacinth Purple, Snow White, Spruce Green, and Obsidian Black color options (translated from Chinese) and will be available in storage configurations of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with 12GB of RAM as standard. Meanwhile, the Mate 70 Pro+ will come in Feather White, Flying Blue, Gold and Silver Brocade, and Ink Black shades, with configurations of 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB. A Weibo leak suggests additional specifications for the lineup.

Except for the base Mate 70, the phones are rumored to include ToF face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. A 13-megapixel camera is also expected to be available on the front across all models. It could include a quad-camera system comprising a 50MP main sensor, 12MP periscope telephoto lens, 40MP ultrawide sensor, and a 16MP infrared lens alongside the Mate 70 with 66W fast charging. As for the Mate 70 Pro and or Pro+ they will be getting a similar camera setup but with 50MP periscope lenses along with support for 100W fast charging. Expect the Mate 70 RS Ultimate Edition to use the same camera arrangement and charging capabilities as the Pro models, keeping its high-end offering.
